Mumping with Mames

So every night at bedtime, James and I have a little ritual of jumping up the stairs. He starts at the very bottom of the stairs and puts both hands up in the air and announced "Mumping!" I grab his hands and bounce him up to his room on the top floor taking five or six stairs at a time. If I forget and just carry him up, he runs down to the bottom step and puts his hands up and says "Mumping!" till I jump him up to bed. Christine tried to put him down the other day (an effort that ended up with a lot of snuggling, but not so much sleeping), but he wouldn't hop in bed till she had mumped him up the stairs.

He seems to know his own name now, though the J sound is not forthcoming, so now when you ask him who he is, instead of pointing to himself and saying "Dada!" and giggling, he responds with a more sedate "Mames." (check http://bradleyclan.blogspot.com/2008/10/whos-yo-dada.html in case you haven't seen his old answer yet). He's getting to be a pretty good communicator generally, but you have to know some of his special words:

Nay-nee: Laine
Weeb: Eve
Eweeyoh: Cereal
Nie-nie: Goodnight
Tankoo: Thanks
Puddol: Puzzle (his favorite toy lately)
Bopper: Diaper
Eeeeewwwww: Please change my bopper
Mine!: May I please play with that toy for a while?
Lap!: Could I please sit with you for a moment?
Uuuuuuh!: Ask Christine, I can never figure this one out
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh!: I'm very tired and grouchy so please put me down for a nap.
